Brook A. Simmons is president of the Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma, the state’s only trade association representing every segment of the oil and natural gas industry and more than 1,300 member companies across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors. A native of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Simmons previously served as federal lobbyist for the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association (2008–2015), sat on the executive committee of the Oklahoma Oil & Gas Association board (2015–2019), and helped lead the merger that formed the Petroleum Alliance. He also managed federal, state, and local government affairs for Newfield Exploration from 2015 until its acquisition by Encana (now Ovintiv) in 2019 and earlier represented private clients on federal issues in Washington, D.C.
